1-Where do you reside and work currently?  Currently I am in London.

2-One word to describe Alisa? Spontaneous

3-Did you have any training for art or is it inherent? I never had any training. I am 100 percent self taught.

4-Do you remember the first piece of art that you created? Yes, I was about five years old and I painted the fields of red tulips. I thought those flowers represent happiness and freedom

5-When did you first start making art and what lead you to start?  Up to recently art always came second to my work and due to this fact I did not paint regularly for the past twenty years. However now I can fully devote myself to my art

6-Best advice you ever received in regards to your art?  Never be afraid of your imagination and your instincts. Keep going and it will take you somewhere you never been before

7-What influences you as an artist? I am influenced by my own emotions and my art is a reflection of all external events surrounding me

8-If you hosted a TV talk show, we will call it, “The Alisa Hour”, who would be your first guest?  Anthony Hopkins – amazing actor and personality

9-How would you describe the human condition at the moment in time?  I believe we are facing unpredictability in every aspect of our lives. We have to learn how to live in an uncertain environment and accept it

10-What is the most extravagant thing you have done?  Skydiving

11-Do you have any hobbies?  I love cooking especially baking

12-How many pairs of shoes do you own?  I believe we are somewhat pressured to follow latest trends in fashion. I came to the realization that you do not need much clothing or possessions to make you happy. That may sound weird from a person who spent fifteen years working in the fashion industry but I truly believe that mass consumption is ruining our planet

13-Are you an optimist, pessimist or realist?  I am a realist with a positive outlook for my future

14-What scares you the most?  Understanding at some point in the future when I am old and incapable that I did not do enough or did not try hard enough to realize my talents

15-If you could have a super power what would it be? Healing powers

16-What is something you like to change? I wish people help each other more

17-How do you describe success as an artist? To discover something new with every new piece of art I create and to be acknowledged by people for my art

18-Are the colors in your art indicative of your state of mind? I only paint when I am in a good mood and the colors reflect the qualities of the characters which I am trying to depict

19-How would you like to be seen as an artist years from now? I want people to be positively moved by my art

20-Do you have a place/person/thing that you visit for inspiration? I love traveling in Europe by car and visiting various museums

21-If you could have dinner with 3 artists living/dead who would be at your table? Modigliani, Pablo Picasso and the Russian artist Mikhail Vrubel

22-Name three things you can’t live without in your studio? Bright natural light, music and all the tools I need to help me realize my ideas
